Say it twice.Post it once.
Keeptake is an AI video editor for iPhone. Talk to the camera as long as you need. It keeps your best take and cuts the retakes, the filler and the dead air.
Raw take: “Okay so, um, hi! Wait. Let me start over. Hi! I film every video in one go and uh, I never edit. Was that good?” Keeptake keeps: “Hi! I film every video in one go and I never edit.” 44 seconds becomes 19.
One take. Nine mistakes.
Retakes, false starts, filler, the bit where you lost your train of thought. Keeptake finds each one, tells you why it went, and closes the gap so your sentences still flow. Every cut is listed, so nothing disappears without a reason.
A 2 minute 13 second take with nine mistakes becomes a 58 second video.
Three steps. You only do the first one.
- 1
Just talk
Record in Keeptake or pick a video from your camera roll. Flub a line? Say it again. Pause to think? Keep rolling.
- 2
Keeptake listens
Your iPhone transcribes the audio itself. Keeptake reads the transcript, keeps your best take of every line and cuts retakes, filler and dead air.
- 3
Caption it and post
Adjust anything on the timeline, add word-by-word captions, and export in up to 4K straight to Photos. No watermark.
Works in the language you film in.
Most auto-cutters only really understand English. Keeptake reads what you meant, so it knows a Spanish “este” from a Turkish “şey” and a retake in Japanese from a pause for effect.
Any language your iPhone can transcribe on the device.

Questions
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your video and audio stay on your iPhone. Speech is transcribed on the device by iOS. To decide what to keep, Keeptake sends only the transcript text with its timestamps and a few loudness and pace measurements to our server, where an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) makes the keep-or-cut call. We store the decisions, not your words. Read the privacy policy.
How long can my videos be?
Keeptake is made for talking videos: Reels, TikToks, Shorts, course clips, product demos. The built-in camera records up to 15 minutes per video. Imports from your camera roll have no fixed cap, and most videos are cut in about a minute.
Is there a watermark?
No. Not on any plan, not during the free trial.
Can I export in 4K?
Yes. Export in 720p, 1080p or 4K, straight to your Photos library, ready for any app.
Does it add captions?
Yes. Captions are timed to every word and come in several styles, from a clean classic look to word-by-word highlights. You can edit the text, turn punctuation on or off, and move them anywhere on the frame.
Which languages does it understand?
Any language your iPhone can transcribe on the device, which covers dozens of languages and regional variants. Keeptake’s decisions work on meaning, not on an English word list, so filler, retakes and false starts are caught in Spanish, Turkish or Japanese just like in English.
What do I need?
An iPhone running iOS 26 or later. There is no Android or web version yet.
What does it cost?
Three plans, from $14.99 a month, each with a 3-day free trial and 33% off when you pay yearly. Subscribe here on the website (billed securely by Stripe, managed from your account page) and sign in to the app with the same email. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
